Partnerships and Collaborations

The role of partnerships in the identification and development of skill standards is the cornerstone of success. To that end, the TSSB encourages private-public partnerships which have as a primary goal the identification of skill requirements by Texas industry and the subsequent documentation of skill standards through a formal process of development and recognition. Through partnerships the TSSB seeks to build on existing industry practice. Through collaboration between industry and education, skill standards can significantly and positively impact both entry-level and incumbent worker skill acquisition through the development of curriculum that it is relevant and truly reflects the needs of industry.
