Recognized Programs

Some community and technical colleges have incorporated skill standards into their technical programs to ensure that the workforce skill needs of business and industry are met. The TSSB has formally recognized these programs, which are listed below.

The TSSB is promoting these programs in the Employers and Industry Groups section of this web site, where they are highlighted as recommended programs from which to recruit qualified applicants. The TSSB will also publicize these programs in outreach activities to employers and industry associations.

To receive TSSB recognition, the program staff has documented the courses in which they teach each of the skill standards competencies. (See Matrix Matching Competencies to Courses in the far right column of the table below.)  They also have agreed to assess their students on the basis of the performance criteria specified in the skill standards.  View the curriculum by clicking on the name of the program in the table's second column from the left.

For more information about the application process for TSSB Program Recognition and to download the application packet and forms, see the Program Recognition Process and Application link in this section of the web site.
