CTC

This page provides skill standards information to assist community and technical college (CTC) educators to understand what skill standards are, how to use them in instructional programs, and how to receive TSSB recognition for skill standards usage. A list of TSSB-recognized CTC programs that are teaching and assessing their students on the basis of standards is also provided, with examples of program recognition application materials.

TSSB staff is available to deliver a skill standards usage workshop on site at any college. The workshop uses exercises and examples to explain how skill standards are developed and guides users through the suggested skill standards integration process presented in A User's Guide: Incorporating Skill Standards into Community and Technical College Curriculum (User's Guide) , an instructional manual that describes the skill standards elements and suggests a step-by-step process for incorporating them into workforce education curriculum. (To view or download the User's Guide, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. To get a copy of the Reader, click here.) Contact the TSSB office at (512) 936-8100 to arrange a workshop presentation.
