Community & Technical Colleges - Earn Money

Looking for a way to meet industry standards and Perkins IV performance indicators while earning up to $6,000?

Integrating industry-defined skill standards into curriculum and receiving Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) Program Recognition could potentially be used to meet the “Technical Skill Attainment” and “Credential, Certificate or Diploma” performance indicators for your workforce program.  (See Request for Applications, or RFA, available to download at the link below, for details on how.)

You can achieve this outcome and earn up to $6,000 at the same time by applying for a Skill Standards-Based Curriculum Development Project administered by Del Mar College under its Perkins state leadership grant.

TSSB Program Recognition is a state “seal of approval” that your program is teaching competencies and assessing student outcomes to industry-specified skills and knowledge.  Join the ranks of recognized programs that are being promoted to industry groups at TSSB outreach sessions and on the TSSB website.  The latest programs to earn this designation, listed below, also will be honored with a certificate from the Governor of the State of Texas in a special awards ceremony at the Texas Community College Instructional Leaders fall conference in Fort Worth on October 6, 2011.
