Welcome to the website of the Texas skill standards system. The system is composed of skill standards and credentials for sub-baccalaureate occupations with strong employment and earnings opportunities. The system is administered by the 19-member Texas Workforce Investment Council, composed of representatives of business, labor, education, community-based organizations, and five state agency partners. Established by the Texas Legislature in 1993, this council has strategic planning and evaluation oversight of the Texas workforce system.
